SOME INKING TESTS /ALGUNAS PRUEBAS DE TINTA

  This are some quick tests I did on different kinds of paper to see their quality on supporting the inking process, so I took the opportunity to have some fun. They where all inked with dip pen in order to really try the paper capabilities. 

Estas son algunas pruebas rápidas de tinta que realizé sobre distintos papeles para ver que tan buena calidad tenían para soportar el proceso de entintado, así que aproveché para divertirme un rato. Todas fueron realizadas con plumilla para poder checar verdaderamente la capacidad de el papel.

This are some of the discarded sketches for an illustration of the great martial artist Bruce Lee for Reader's Digest back in 1998, and even though I like them both I have a preference for the portrait, I believe those lines that come out of the drawing give it a more loose and interesting effect. Don't you think?

PEACE MAN COMIC BOOK

Well, we are proud to present to you this Peace Man comic book that ¡Ka-Boom! Estudio did as a commition for our dear friend and writer Philip Victor from the U.S. which was launched last week  the during the Free Comic Book Day at the Geeks Comics store.

I recently red the series of Batman "Hush" again, which I totally enjoyed, so I did Catwoman fan art inspired by this great art work.

Hace poco releí la serie de Batman "Hush", lo cual disfruté bastante, de modo que hice este fan art de Gatúbela inspirado por este increíble trabajo.

LOVELY CHRISTINA

I was watching some black & white images and got inspired to do the same and see what happened if I added just a touch of color, very subtle, to create a retro effect, kind of classic, which I really enjoyed.

Estaba biendo algunas imagenes en blanco & negro y me inspiraron a hacer lo mismo y ver que pasaba sí agregaba un toque de color, muy sutil, para así crear un efecto retro, algo clásico, lo cual difruté mucho.

LEAD RAIN ON CAP AMERICA

With all the buzz about the next Captain America's movie release I guess I couldn't help myself on doing this fan art. I decided to do a classic version of Cap, hope you all like it.

Done with markers, gouache and inks.

Supongo que con toda la emoción del próximo estreno de la película de el Capitan América no pude evitar hacer este fan art. Opté por hacer una versión más clásica del Cap, espero les agrade.

Here's a fan art of one of my childhood cartoons, Pa Bear, from The Hillbilly Bears, I bet more than two of you remembers this Hanna-Barbera character, it was real funny how he used to growl between teeth when he wasn't happy about something, which was all the time, hee-hee... I mean Ahee-ahee. :D

Este es un fan art de una de las caricaturas de mi infancia, Apa Oso, de Los Osos Montañeses, apuesto que más de dos de uds. recuerda a este personaje de Hanna-Barbera, era realmente divertido como solía gruñir entre dientes cada vez que algo no le parecia, lo cual era todo el tiempo, je-je... digo ajía-ajía. :D
